How long is an average event?
Events are typically 2-3 hours long depending on the package you have selected. This allows plenty of time for arrivals, activities and of course eating and drinking.
How long does a game of bowling last?
One game of bowling lasts around 45 minutes to 1 hour with 5-6 people per lane. We will make sure to allocate the right number of lanes to your event to give your group the best possible experience.
How long does a game of laser tag last?
Laser goes for three missions of 7.5 minutes. Including briefing and de-briefing, laser will take about 30 minutes to complete.
How long is an Escape Room session?
Each Cryptology Escape Room can last up to one hour, depending on how quickly you can solve it! This doesn’t include briefing and de-briefing.
How many people are required for a package?
Group packages are available to groups of 6 people or more. If your group is under 6 people, we recommend booking the activities you like and adding on some food platters!
Do you do a better rate for our large group?
Group packages are already at a greatly reduced rate as they are offered to groups of 6 people or more only.
Who is my contact on the day of my event?
Once you arrive in centre your host will be your main point of contact for the entirety of your event. Your host is dedicated to your event throughout it! Our managers will oversee the operation of your event and are available to facilitate any onsite needs you may have. Please note, the Gold Event and Bronze Event packages do not come with a event host.
How far in advance do I need to book my event?
You can book your event online up to 3 days before your selected date. That gives you time to invite all your guests and for us to curate the best possible experience for you!
How early should I arrive for my event?
We suggest that you arrive around 10-15 minute prior to your event, your activities will be ready at the time your event is scheduled to begin.
What happens if I am running late for my booking?
Please contact us if you are running late as we prepare and start your lanes and food requirements according to the scheduled times on your event booking confirmation. However, we may be able to extend your lanes dependent upon the lane availability at the time your event ends.
Will our lanes be together?
Yes, when you confirm your event consecutive lanes are booked for your group.
Can I book for an adults and kids package together?
Of course. If you are expecting a mix of adults and children at your event it makes perfect sense that everyone can be included in the fun! Please give our Events Specialist teams a call to discuss the best options available for your group.
How do I make payment?
Payment can be made on the day of event. If you would like to pay in full for your event ahead of the day we can take credit card payments over the phone for your booking. A booking specialist will be in contact with you to confirm your details and answer any questions you have about the event.
Do we have to pay a deposit and how much is it?
Yes. A deposit amount of $20.00 per person is taken at the time of booking your event online via credit card or PayPal.
What if I need to cancel my event date?
Not a worry, if you need to cancel your event and provide us with notice of more than four (4) days prior to the proposed event date, we will refund your deposit in full.
Within Zero (0) to four (4) days prior to the event, the deposit will be forfeited. However we will always do our best to accommodate your needs and can apply your deposit to a social booking should you wish to book for a later date. A manager will contact you to discuss your options.
What if the number of guests changes?
We understand that things happen that are sometimes out of your control, we will work to accommodate any increase or decrease in numbers for your event, simply give our booking specialist team a call to discuss the options available to you.
For any increases we ask that you please give us as much notice as possible so we can accommodate your request.
Are we able to provide our own signage and decorations?
We have beautiful balloons available to our parties, talk to the booking specialist team about how we can make your event one to post about!
For corporate events, the display of banners, signs, labels, decorations or the like must be first approved by venue management and as such must not be nailed, screwed, glued, stapled or similarly adhered to any part of the venue.
Can I bring by own food and drinks to venue?
No food and beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought into Kingpin. However, our packages include excellent Food and Beverage options!
Does KINGPIN cater for all dietary requirements?
Should any of your guests have specific dietary requirements KINGPIN will use its best endeavours to accommodate them, just let our booking specialist team know during the confirmation of your event . For allergen information click here.
Does KINGPIN have insurance to cover our property at the event?
We accept no responsibility or liability for loss or damage to property brought into Kingpin and we suggest the client seek their own insurance to cover such an event.
What happens if we damage KINGPIN property?
Loss or damage caused by the company or group, including its guests and contractors, to any part of Kingpin or its equipment will be the responsibility of the company or group.
What is KINGPIN's security policy?
Venue management reserves the right to exclude or eject any objectionable persons from Kingpin. Security guards can be provided if your function requires them for an additional fee.
Does KINGPIN provide the supervision of children?
Venue management will take all reasonable care but will not accept responsibility for the supervision and wellbeing of a minor.
Can KINGPIN provide me with a risk assessment for our event?
We can email or post a risk assessment at your request.

What payments do I need to make?
- The Bronze Kids package will go for approximately 1 hour 30 mins
- The Silver Kids package will go for approximately 2 hours
- The Gold Kids package will go for approximately 3 hours
- The Silver Teens package will go for approximately 2 hours
- The Gold Teens package will go for approximately 3 hours
- Minimum height of 110cm
- Children between 110 and 122cm must be accompanied by an adult
- Maximum weight of 130kg
A $100 deposit is required when booking your party; the final balance is to be paid 4 business days prior to your event based on your final guest numbers at this time.
What is the minimum number of guests I need to book?
There is a minimum payment of 8 guests to enjoy the full experience of a birthday party with Kingpin including your own dedicated party host.
Is the cake included?
There is no cake included in any Kingpin party packages. You are welcome to bring your own birthday cake, or you can purchase our Donut Cake share platter from our available extras.
Can I bring in my own food?
No external food or beverage is permitted, unless in relation to a food allergy which you have confirmed with us prior to the day of your party. You can purchase additional food from our menu on the day or speak to our team about platter options ask at the time of booking or confirmation. For allergen information, click here.
Where is the food served?
Your group will either be eating at an allocated table, at the lanes or in a private room based on the package selected and subject to availability.
Where can I get the invitations?
Party invitations can be downloaded on our website are available for pick-up in venue, or alternatively contact 1300 814 214 for invitations to be posted to you.
Do we need to bring socks?
Please remind your guests to bring a pair of socks when bowling is selected for your party. We would also recommend bringing in a few spare pairs, just in case! Socks can be purchased in venue for $10 per pair.
What is the Party Host’s role?
The party host, or Party P.A. as we like to call them,is there to entertain the kids during the party and organise all the FUN for you. We care about you and your children. While the party P.A. will be with the children for the duration of the party to guide activities, we recommend that at least one parent, guardian or your carer stay close by to supervise the kids.
Do I need to stay with the party?
Kingpin requires that a parent, guardian or adult remains with the party to supervise the party children and a touchpoint for our P.A.. We recommend that carers are present for the duration of your party.
When do we have to arrive?
We request that the party organiser and attendees all arrive 15 minutes prior to the party start time to organise shoes, etc. This is to ensure that your party experience begins on time and that none of your guests miss out on any of the fun! Your party will commence on the hour.
Do you need any other information?
We ask that you collect contact information from your guests in the event that the parents of your guests need to be contacted. This should be brought with you on the day of your event.

What’s is the difference between Arcade Play Time and Arcade Credit?
Arcade play time included in a party package allows children to play all arcade games excluding machines that produce tickets & prizes for 30 minutes. Arcade credit is a dollar amount which allows game play on any arcade games and will produce tickets that can be used to redeem prizes.
Are there tables for the parents?
The party rooms/lounge areas for catering will be available for a 30 minute duration. No areas are reserved for parents/families unless food is purchased however options can be discussed when final payment is made.
When do I confirm final details?
We will call you prior to the party to confirm. Final number of guests attending - this number is to ensure adequate team and catering on the day and will be no less than your minimum set in your agreement; Any special dietary requirements i.e. vegetarian or food intolerances; If you would like to order any additional platters, goodie bags for the kids or parents attending or a cake; and if you require any additional lanes booked for older siblings or adults attending, we can offer $10.00 a game.
If I need to cancel, do I get a refund?
Provided we are given more than 4 business days’ notice, we are able to offer a refund. No refunds will be honoured within 4 working days of the party.
How many lanes will I need?
We allocate a maximum of 6 children per bowling lane. As you will require multiple lanes, they will be kept next to each other.
Will we have the laser arena to ourselves?
Laser cannot be exclusively booked unless your group fills capacity of the arena. If your party does not fulfil the arena capacity, other guests may be playing in the arena at the same time. We do however, attempt to keep our groups similar in age.
What shoes do we wear?
If your party is for laser tag, please remind your guests to wear closed toe shoes. If you have a bowling party, please remember to bring socks! We will provide the shoes.
How old do you have to be to play Laser Tag?
For safety reasons, the minimum age for children in our laser arenas is 6 years old. A party for a child turning 5 years old cannot be for laser tag.
How old do you have to be to do a Cryptology Escape Room?
For safety reasons, the minimum age for children in our escape rooms is 14 years old.
How old do you have to be to do TopSpin Table Tennis?
For enjoyment reasons, the minimum age for children in our table tennis is 6 years old.
How old do you have to be to have a party?
We recommend that Kingpin parties are for kids aged 5 and above to deliver the best experience for the children.
How tall do I have to be to play Omni, Arcadia or Hologate Virtual Reality?
There are no age restrictions, however for safety reasons the following height and weight restrictions apply:
Can I add extra kids on the day?
We cannot guarantee there will be space but will do our best to accommodate your party.
Ratio of Party P.A’s to kids?
This depends on age but roughly 1 P.A. for 8-14, 2 P.A’s for 14-24 etc.
Can I bowl or play laser with the party?
Yes, we have the option to add adults to our parties. Please mention this upon booking or select add extra people when booking online.
Can I add extra activities on the day?
Dependent on availability we can add on extra activities.
Can I book a birthday party for twins, or a combined birthday party?
Yes you can. You can add the two names in the names section when booking, just separate them using the word "and" e.g. "Kate and Jess"
